Dear PVR JI,Thanks a lot for your instructions, accordingly I have change the Time Zone of my OS and find the local time as i wish to.My other software never trouble me because of this so i never think about it.I am student of Traditional Astrology now have developed the interest in KP-Astrology for that accuracy of a software is main issue.I was in a search for the right software.I have read in many forums about your J;Hora software accuracy so interested to download it.It is really a fine tool in the hand of a Astrologer of all school of astrology.I can say 'All-in-one'.Thanks for your sincere and humble reply to solve the my problem.M.S.Bohrajhora , Narasimha PVR Rao > Namaste,> > I got the jhora.ini file in private mail from you. It does have Jodhpur co-ordinates set correctly as the default. So JHora knows when you make a prasna chart that you want it made for Jodhpur.> > Can you confirm that you do see the correct longitude, latitude and time zone in the chart information when you open a new chart and only the time shown is wrong? Is my understanding correct?> > If so, there is only one possibility I can think of. Even though you live in India, your computer is set for a US timezone!!!> > When JHora opens a new chart, it gets the time from the computer OS. Computer OS converts the time shown on the clock to GMT and gives it to JHora. JHora then converts it to your local time and uses it to make a chart.> > When you bought the computer, it was probably set to EST or PST timezone of USA. You simply changed the clock time to your local time and did not change the timezone. So the time reported by the computer in GMT to JHora is wrong.> > Double click on the digital clock at the bottom right corner of your PC. It will open a dialog box called "Date and Time Properties". There will be a tab called "Time Zone". Select it. It will show the current time zone set in your computer OS. Make sure it is not showing a US or European timezone and showing "(GMT+5:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi" or something like that. Then your computer knows that the time in your clock is based on IST and converts it to GMT accurately.> > If the above procedure is not available in your computer, find out how to change the time zone information in the computer OS.> > Thanks,> Narasimha> > ---- Narasimha PVR Rao > Namaste,> > > > Please be patient and do not delete it yet. software does help me a lot.I've 2 different versions of this software that I've downloaded over a period of time : version 7.02 and ver 7.33. I am currently using ver 7.02 (because I couldn't find a way to get the current rashi, nakshatra, navamansha details for the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, in ver 7.33), and in that lately for the last 3-4 days (since the onset of Day light Saving Time), I've noticed that
the software doesn't pick up the right time from the computer. For e.g., if the time in the computer is 8.30 am, then it will display as 9.30am in the "Basics" section of the software. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA. It shows me the time zone as 5:00:00 (West of GMT), however, doesn't display the time in the correct manner. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software as well a couple of times hoping that it might solve the problem.I was just wondering if you could show me a way to correct this aberration in ver 7.02, and also if you could guide me to get the current rashi, nakshatra, navamansha details for the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, in ver 7.33.Will truly appreciate if you could help me out.Look forward to hearing from you.Kartik MehtaAtlanta, GA
