The Sri Lankan military stance in this case is understandable. The military want their crimes to go unpunished. They want to continue the operation like in the Colombo Airport. Why? Because they are confident if there were any incidents in the future it will be very easy to give as an excuse of the militarythe very efficient police which would investigate the case with a delay of a few days. sri lankan naked video
One should never forget the massive amount of evidence of war crimes committed by the Sri Lankan state and the Sri Lankan Armed Forces in the final phase of the civil war. More than 25,000 women and men were raped, more than 3,100 people were systematically tortured and as a result more than 1,000 women and children were murdered.[10]
On 4 July 2004, the United Nations Human Rights Council published a report on violations of the human rights in the final stage of the civil war. The most shocking statement from the report is that the war might have been the most brutal in history.[7] The report lists three top figures of the military on war crimes in the period 1998-2002, which were committed against the Tamils in the last phase of the civil war.
During the war, a major massacre of Tamil civilians was committed in the town of Muttur in the Ampara District of the Eastern Province.[8][7][18] According to the new report more than 400 Tamil men, women and children and 350 weapons were destroyed in Muttur. Tamils were shot and many were hacked to death. Tamils were also found naked and inside sacks.[9] The military later re-defined the number of killed Tamils in Muttur to 217 people.[17]
At the beginning of the war, the military had already killed 1,609 civilians with sharp weapons.[19] The report mentions 1,159 civilians were killed by the military between 26 April 2000 and 20 November 2001.[20] In the same period the military killed 4,504 Tamil men, 1,649 Tamil women and 2,247 Tamil children.[24] The military also deported more than 55,000 people from their homes to Tamil-majority areas.[20] d2c66b5586
